WordPress Dashboard
After logging in to the site, you will automatically be directed to the Administrative Dashboard.
Overview
The Administrative Dashboard is the command central of the website where you make changes to content and settings. The administrative menu (dark shaded area on the left of the screen) provides you with access to all site content and features you have been granted permission to edit according to your user role.
Toggling between dashboard and public view
You may switch from the dashboard view of the site to the public view at any time by clicking the site name, Nutritional Sciences Program, located near the top left of the page.
Site Concepts
In WordPress, there are three core types of content supported on the site, which are:
- Posts – Post content is usually organized or filtered by category, publication date, or properties defined on the post. The general “out of the box” behavior of a WordPress blog is a post content type.
- Pages – Page content is organized in a hierarchical menu.
- Media – Media is added to the site in the Media Library and can be referenced or added to pages and posts.
